Dilemma: Why do bubbles show up on my manicure?

Vigorously shaking the varnish in the bottle creates small air bubbles which will surface on your nails as it dries. The solution: Simply roll the bottle between your palms to mix. Air bubbles may also mean you are applying too thickly, so try thinner coats instead: Remove excess polish by wiping one side of the nail brush against the bottle lip, then sweep the brush down the length of the nail in thin coats. This will prevent bubbles from forming.

If bubbles still show up, it's time to toss your polish: Old polish changes consistency and becomes thick, which makes bubbles more likely to form.
